"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever" (Hebrews ). When the Lord Jesus rose from the dead, then later ascended into heaven, His body was immortal, no longer subject to death--yet it was a physical body, capable of being seen and heard and touched, even capable of eating with His disciples. He was clearly recognizable, yet could quickly ascend from earth to heaven and.
The same Jesus who was born in Bethlehem is coming again. The same Jesus who grew up in Nazareth is coming again. The same Jesus who turned water into wine is coming again. The same Jesus who walked on water is coming again. The same Jesus who healed the nobleman’s son is coming again. The same Jesus who raised Lazarus is coming again. In Acts we observe the phrase "This same Jesus.” The Lord Jesus, who came the first time, has promised in His word to come again. With this promise we have a blessed hope that purifies us and excites us. What a thrill to study, learn, and know more about "this same Jesus.
